Team: Self-Sufficient Greenhouse

Team:
Self-Sufficient Greenhouse

School:
Sante Véronique, Liege, Belgium

Problem:
Growing your own fruits and vegetables in your garden is much more environmentally friendly than buying from the stores. Also, there is then less transportation on the roads.

Idea:
A standard greenhouse for the garden with its own energy for light and heating and its own water system for the plants.

Result:
A scale model with solar cells, working lights and a functioning watering system for the plants.

Team: Magnet Pipe

Team:
Magnet Pipe

School:
Pater-Damian Sekundarschule, Eupen België

Problem:
A lot of truck traffic is needed to transport relatively small packages across the country. What are the possibilities to get less trucks on the road.

Idea:
Create a tube system between large distribution and citycenters. (A large-scale tube mail system of old). With magnets, the transport module should hang suspended in the tube so that it has no resistance. The tube system is airless so there is no resistance here either. With magnetism, the transport module can travel very large distances at high speed.

Result:
Using magnets to float a transport module in a tube. Explanation of a nationwide distribution system.

Team: Trash can in cars (throwing everything on the street)

Team:
Trash can in cars (throwing everything on the street)

School:
Aloysius, Eindhoven, Netherlands

Problem:
Almost all cars don't have a trash bin. As a result, people often throw trash on the street.

Idea:
Create a standard trash can that fits in every car.

Result:
A trash can that can be hung on the center console of any car. Design and make a clip that allows the trash can also hang on the air vents.

Team: Trash Trimmer

Team: Trash Trimmer

School: TISM, Bree, Belgium

Problem: Plastic trash takes a lot of space.

Idee: A device that crushes plastic waste into very small pieces.

Result: A tube with rotating blades driven by a motor. The plastic waste can be safely put into the trash trimmer from the side.
