Alix & Basile College Saint Veronique - Cycle Secure

Cyclo Secure is a set with a small screen on your bike and a helmet with a Captop. This is connected to the screen. The screen provides important information about future weather, whether there is someone behind your bike or too close, your speed and it reminds you to put on your helmet. The screen can connect to your phone. Incoming phone calls can be taken through the screen.

Cycle Secure

Alix & Basile wanted to make cycling safer through a small computer attached to your bike and connected to your helmet. Above you can see their drawing. During the 'Make it happen' day, they made a prototype based on this proposed design.

Cycle Secure

To make the bicycle handlebars, the team used round wood and traditional methods. To make the prototype of their 'screen' they used the laser cutter.

Pippa & Julia Atheneum Alicebourg - Press Garbage Can

This is a garbage can that allows for more garbage to be put in by pressing.

Garbage Can

Pippa and Julia had an idea for a trash can that can compress trash so that more can fit in it. Above you can see their idea. During the "Make it happen" day, they made a prototype based on this proposed design.

Garbage Can

To make the prototype, the team also used the laser cutter with the help of Continium staff to make the exterior and interior parts.

Bjarne & Inigo Eijkhagen College - Baby Box

Many people are irritated by crying babies on airplanes so we thought we should change that. So we came up with the idea of a special soundproof room for families with babies so that other people in the plane are not bothered by it. The room is 4x2x2,5 and is meant for 2 families per room. There is a couch in it for the whole family. A table with microwave and under the bench power outlets and also a tap with fresh water. On the other of the baby box you will find exactly the same construction for another family.

Baby Box

Bjarne & Inigo had an idea for making a special compartment in airplanes for people with babies. They made the drawing, shown above, of their idea; During the "Make it happen" day, they made a prototype based on this proposed design.

Baby Box

For their prototype, the team used a drainage tube as a base. Slowly it turned to an airplane segment.

Max & Meo Goethe Gymnasium - MeMa Car

We want to design a car that protects the drivers in it. To do this, we came up with the following modifications.

  • An electromagnet in the front and another in the back to stop crashing.
  • A new seat. The passengers legs are angled. This way the legs are better protected and there is more room for technology.
  • A magnetic road in a normal road. This way the car floats and the speed limit is easier to control.
  • Some strings behind the seats. If the car crashes and the airbag explodes, the passengers are protected.
